We are the Champions!!!

Great News Volleyball Fans!!! We won the Fountain Valley City League Championship!!! Tonight We played in the Semi-Finals, and then after winning that went on to take the Championship Game!!! Surprisingly we did better in the Championship game, (winning 2-0) than we did in the Semi-Final game, where we lost the 1st game, and then had to battle back for the 2nd and 3rd. I (Andrew) led the team in kills, not neccesarily because of skill, but because of an overwhelming number of sets to me, courtesy of Brooke, (formerly a teammate of Evie's as the setter on the Westminster High School Girl's Team) and, in the last match, an unprecedented hatred for the Tachikara "Girl's Ball" that we played with, (I still blame that stupid ball for a loss that I had in the BYU-I Athletic League a couple of years back) but as with all volleyball games, a hitter can only do so much, the whole team played really well together, and they made me look good. Scott Holdaway came in a very close second in kills, even though he was set about half what I was, Hugo had great placement on the ball, Leika played amazing defense, Grazelda had some amazing heads-up plays, and again Brooke had the most amazing sets a hitter could ask for, add this to the fact that there was very little blocking, and you have a recipe for a huge game! Anyways, it was a great end to an interesting season in which we had a very slow start, but we finished BIG, and in the end that's all that matters.

We Won!

For real this time! Evie joined the team, and we beat one of the teams that beat us at the beginning of the season! Andrew, like an idiot, played even with his jammed thumb, but still was able to get a bunch of kills, and we found out that when Evie actually gets some playing time she does pretty well! Go us!

Halloween Party Pictures!

We went and had a great time at the ward Halloween Parties on Saturday night. Drew was an Idahoan...I mean a red-neck, Britt was an 80's Chick, and Jake was a Baby Bee. Jake also got to do his first trunk-or-Treat...good news for Mom and Dad. There are more pictures on Jake's Blog, and we'll post more after Halloween, when we go trick-or-treating with the Campbell Kids.

Another Win!

Well, not the match, but the first game. And, thanks to Evie and Greg, we still do not have any pictures of the game, a sad state of affairs, since I got some amazing hits, and Scott had some out-of-this-world blocks. Oh well, we have another game next Thursday, so hopefully we'll get some then.

We were right by the FIRES!!!

As some of you may know, we've been "babysitting" Brittany's Uncle Steve's mansion house, while he's been out of town on business. Well, recently there has been a lot of fires in SoCal, and one of those was really close to the house that we were watching. It was kind of scary, but really cool. The good news is that Steve's house is fine, and we got to see a really cool fire, relatively close-up. And there is no bad news, but I just had to post this picture that we took right by Steve's house of the fire.

We Won!!!

For real this time! We got our first win, and beat the other team 3-0! Go us! No pictures yet, I put Evie in charge of taking them, so we are still without pictures. Oh, and for those in the JBW fan club, Jake went to his first Mighty Ducks Hockey game yesterday, and there are new pics of him there and also some of his blessing on his blog.

We WON!!!

Okay, so "won" is not quite the 100% correct word, but I did lead the team in kills and blocks, Brittany played, and so did Candi (my aunt who is in town visiting from Arizona) and we had a blast! Besides, there's always next week.

Great News Volleyball Fans!!!

The USA Men's team won the NORCECA Championship, securing their spot in the 2008 Olympics!!! Go USA!!!

In other, way less exciting, but fun news, I (Andrew) joined a volleyball league, and their first game is today (Thursday) @8:30 pm, so for all of you who were wondering if a little thing like knocking out my 5 front teeth was going to get in the way of me and the sport I love, I accept your apologies now. I also talked Brittany into filling in for one of the spots on our team, as our miniature secret weapon, and if I'm unhppy with how any of the other guys on the team are playing, Jake volunteered to sub in for them- who says you need to walk to play? I'll let you guys know how it went probably tomorrow.

We Met KARCH KIRALY!!!

While watching the USA Men's Volleyball Team beat up on Canadia, we saw Karch Kiraly sitting in the stands. So, of course I drug Brittany and Jake over to see him, and get a pic and an autograph.
For those of you who don't know, Karch Kiraly (Pronounced Ker-eye) just happens to be the greatest volleyball player in the history of the sport, 148 Sand Volleyball Tournament wins, a gold medal in Sand Volleyball, and 2 in indoor volleyball. (the only two the USA has gotten to this point) I accept your apology for your obvious incompetance, and I expect a full biography on my desk by Monday morning.
In other news, the USA Men's Volleyball Team is playing tonight against Puerto Rico for the NORCECA championship. Again, for those of you obviously not keeping up on your volleyball, that means they win a spot in the 2008 Beijing (I don't know if I spelled that right) Olympics! Go USA!!!

I need to keep this more up to date!

Hey everyone, sorry fo the confusion. Just a quic note, the baby blessing was not done on the 9th of Sptember. We had a little accident (and by we I mean me-Andrew) and I decided that having front teeth was slightly overrated, so I knocked them out at jumping rock. Don't worry, after carefulconsideration, and a lot of pudding packs, I have decided to get front teeth again, it's just taking a while. So, we're planning on doing the baby blessing when that get's done. When that will be, still remains a mystery, but most likely I'll get my teeth in around General Conference. Until then I would loveto hear any and all funny jokes about people with no front teeth, bcause I am starting to run out. I was going to post pictures, but as my wife so kindly pointed out, some people are still able to eat, and ptures of this would surely ruin some perfectly good appetites. I countred with the argument that most pictures of m would make people lose their appetites, to which she had n reply- so I guess we all know who wonthat argument. Anyways, as news of what exactly is going on follows, I will try to keep you guys posted, and in the man time, go to Jake's blog, and look at how cute he is, bcause we always have cute new pictures of him up,and he basically looks like I do, at least in his mouth! Love you guys!

Hey Everyone,

A couple of pieces of news, first the baby blessing looks like it's going to be September 9th, the 2nd Sunday in September. It will be at the McFadden Building at 9am. If you have any questions email me, and let me know. Secondly, as this is relatively new, I'll mention that at the bottom of the blog there are links to all of my other blogs. On these blogs you can see pictures, and if you so desire, copy the pictures that you like to your computer, just right click on the picture you want and click "save as" and it will give you options so that you can save them to your computer. I'll mention the one for Logan Wheeler, that's the name of Chris' soon to be born son, and as he is not born yet, it doesn't have a lot on it, but I'll keep you as updated as I am about when he's born, etc., and Chris will post some pictures so that everyone can see how cute his baby is. I hope you all enjoy the site, I think it will be a good way to keep anyone who's interested up to date on what's going on with our family, and especially little Jacob.

Love you guys,
Drew
