We are the Champions!!!

Great News Volleyball Fans!!! We won the Fountain Valley City League Championship!!! Tonight We played in the Semi-Finals, and then after winning that went on to take the Championship Game!!! Surprisingly we did better in the Championship game, (winning 2-0) than we did in the Semi-Final game, where we lost the 1st game, and then had to battle back for the 2nd and 3rd. I (Andrew) led the team in kills, not neccesarily because of skill, but because of an overwhelming number of sets to me, courtesy of Brooke, (formerly a teammate of Evie's as the setter on the Westminster High School Girl's Team) and, in the last match, an unprecedented hatred for the Tachikara "Girl's Ball" that we played with, (I still blame that stupid ball for a loss that I had in the BYU-I Athletic League a couple of years back) but as with all volleyball games, a hitter can only do so much, the whole team played really well together, and they made me look good. Scott Holdaway came in a very close second in kills, even though he was set about half what I was, Hugo had great placement on the ball, Leika played amazing defense, Grazelda had some amazing heads-up plays, and again Brooke had the most amazing sets a hitter could ask for, add this to the fact that there was very little blocking, and you have a recipe for a huge game! Anyways, it was a great end to an interesting season in which we had a very slow start, but we finished BIG, and in the end that's all that matters.
